What is the age policy for events? 16+ unless otherwise specified for a particular event. Do you do student discount? 10% off on the bar with a valid student card (excluding existing offers/deals) Do you serve food? Generally no. On some events we do open our pizza van in the car park. But for the majority of shows, no. If a show says sold out, will there be tickets available on the door? No. Sorry, sold out means sold out. Can I sleep in the car park in my vehicle overnight? No. We’re not insured to have overnight guests. Vehicles can be left overnight with prior consent. Please ask at the bar on arrival to confirm this is ok when you attend the event. (Sometimes we have early load in the next day so are unable to accommodate ever time). Can I bring my baby to a show? No. Do you have disabled access? On gig days, customers use the rear entrance, which has ramp access suitable for wheelchairs. If you require a Personal Assistant ticket in order to attend the show, please email us to arrange this. If you require a seat or space for a wheelchair, please let us know in advance, and we can arrange this for you. If you require an accessible parking space, please let us know and we can rope one off for you. There is one ambulant toilet in both bathrooms with grab rails. Unfortunately, we do not have an accessible toilet. The police station next door (200m away) has an accessible toilet but we believe it closes at 9pm. How do I get in touch with the venue? [email protected] 01904 620410 (As our working hours are predominantly event lead, e-mail is often the quickest way to get in touch). |
Are shows seated or standing? The majority of our shows are standing room only. Please let us know if you require seating for a specific show and we will accommodate wherever possible. Can I bring my dog? Dogs welcome on leads in the beer garden, but not inside during a live event due to the volume and risk of being trampled. (With the exception of service dogs). Dogs are welcome in the pub when there is no event on/soundcheck happening. What time do doors open for events? Doors are usually 7.30pm unless otherwise specified. Do you have a carpark? We do, this is at the rear of the venue and is accessible through the archway. (Height 2.69 metres). If the carpark is full, the lay-by on the opposite side of the road offers free parking from 6pm onwards. (The lay-by on our side of the road has a 1 hour limit). There is also a carpark a few minutes walk away from us. Details can be found here - www.q-park.co.uk/en-gb/cities/york/barbican/ Can I bring my own drinks to the venue? No. If you are found to have brought your own drinks in you will be asked to leave. Repeat offenders will be barred permanently. Do you have gender specific toilets? Our toilets are gender neutral, please use whichever facilities you are most comfortable with. Can I go hang out in the dressing room with the bands? Unless you have been given specific access to this area of the building the answer is no. This is our place of work, and also a residential area of the building. You don't need to be there, so you are not allowed there. Even if you're on the guest list. Even if you're a girlfriend. Even if you're The Pope. No. |
