York DIY music scene presents a night of local live music, run by musicians.
They’re a talented bunch, and this night always delivers..!
Featuring:
weekend at dads
A first showcase headliner gig for Autonomy, and a debut gig for weekend at dads, North Yorkshire’s latest racket. Taking inspiration from 90s second-wave-emo with shoegaze influence, the band offer the following statement: “weekend at dads are a band that is pretty emo and pretty loud and probably quite good. Joe, Tom and Felix.”
Heavy Bloom
Shoegaze/Dreampop at its finest. Heavy Bloom paint a perfect picture of the best side of the 90s, within a modern context. Mazzy Starlike vocals with shimmering guitars and emotive songwriting combine to create a warm, hazy listening experience.
The Pennydrops
An EP will be the latest addition to The Pennydrops’ releases, following their single launch gig here for ‘Boundary.’ The band’s sound is a genre bending blend of Indie-Folk and Alternative Rock with Grungy undertones. Brimming with harmonies and witty, wistful lyrics.
