Thursday 9th January (7pm doors)
The Velvet Sheep & Flowers in the Boneyard Presents... The January Jaunt (Charity event for MIND) The Velvet Sheep in association with those wonderful people at Flowers In The Boneyard, are happy to present The January Jaunt. Clear the cobwebs, dust of the Docs, and come to our charity event (in aid of MIND York) on 9th January at The Fulford Arms. Plenty time to sit, stand, skulk or socialise for an hour after doors open, as we play quiet background music. Volume up then as our DJ plays Goth and Post Punk classics for those whose feet have missed dancing. And finally, keeping the vibe and dancing going until 10.30, we have our awesome live band Cover of Dark. Then we all trot home feeling much better.
Everyone involved is donating their time, so that every penny will go to the York branch of MIND - and this time of year is particularly tough on the mental health of many, especially young people, so it's a great opportunity to do our bit.... |
